Savannah College of Art & Design
BFA Motion Graphics & Media Design
Minor in Visual Effects
During my time in High School in Concord, North Carolina, a new computer graphics course kicked off my interest in video editing and motion graphics. I quickly soaked in as much information as I could and even stepped up to help alongside the teacher, organizing projects, potential assignments for my peers, and working with the school to create specialized displays for the class's work. This experience and many passion projects led me to the prestigious Savannah College of Art & Design, where I studied for four years committing my Major to Motion Media Design very early on, and immersed myself in the work.
Out of college I quickly made friends at a boutique agency in Boston, Blackmath. Working with a small team in a studio environment accelerated my understanding of professional workflow and I quickly fell in love with the city, office space, and work we were able to do. Following my time at Blackmath, I moved to the opposite coast to live in Los Angeles and 'Join the Circus' as an old professor had put it as I leapt into the Film & TV industry. I started out creating some individual title sequences & music videos for indie producers, and then found footing at the long-lived advertising agency, INSYNC Plus. Here I was assigned as a Motion Graphics artist with a small team and quickly dove into the fast-paced work environment balancing different big-name clients like Paramount, Disney, IFC Films, HBO, and more.
